Themed by "Turning Vision into Business" the international Plastics and Rubber Fair K2007 takes place from 24. - 31.October . In the meantime the exhibition space grew to 168.000 square meters (8.000 more than 2004) and there will be over 3.000 exhibitors for machinery and equipment, feedstock and supplies as well as semi-finished products, technical parts and service. 57% of the exhibitors are from abroad, which underlines the international importance of this leading fair.

For more than one decade Bauer Kompressoren GmbH has made it´s name worldwide in plastic processing, especially in gas injection technology.
Complex ribbing, mass concentration because of different insulation thickness may cause tensions in the parts. Using gas injection technology such detriments can be prevented by well directed inserting of gaschannels. The gas is injected with pressure provides the back-pressure, which operates in all gaschannels equally, this is specially used for tubular parts. Thereby the residual stress in the part is reduced, and thus distortion. It should be not unspoken that at cylindric parts a saving of material of up to 50% can be reached.
Lots of well-known companies are using there for BAUER units and the know how of the BAUER engineers.

It is impossible to imagine to be without the Flushing Procedure of BAUER KOMPRESSOREN: Cool-down of the moulded part will accellerate by 35% which will immensely increase the output and economical efficiency of your GIT application. Furthermore, additional gas will flow through the hollow formed in the GIT-process. This will lead to a so-called temperature compensation due to gas constantly flowing over the surface of the hollow part.

To use Gas Injection Technology you need the following equipment:

1. Nitrogen Source

N2-Generators, -evaporators or bottle racks deliver the nitrogen.

The highly innovative BAUER piston compressors are equipped with a pressure reduction line at gas intake their feeding, with high pressure filtration and with a storage capacity. The nitrogen obtained can be used for one or several injection machines.

The installation can be made directly at the injection moulding machine or seperate in a certain part of the production hall whereas a high pressure pipe, ring network or hose cable ensures the transport of the Nitrogen. Depending on the dimensioning it is possible to provide several distribution panels and so also the injection moulding machines with only one compressor unit with Nitrogen.

Individually aligned the required capacity and the required pressure range, we have a big range of nitrogen compressors, or boosters. A compact and space-saving alternative in the produced range is since this year the MINI-VERTICUS III (Picture right hand, with storage bottles).

The latest BAUER controller generation is very easy and intuitive to use. BAUER shows once again a high standard in quality and precision in the plastic market. The famous slim dimensions of the BAUER controller have been furthermore reduced.

BY-Pass valve
Located between the mould and the panel regulation valve, the BY-PASS valve drains directly to the atmosphere the used nitrogen. This system permits to increase the intervals of the regulation valves due to the pollution from volatile additives in the polymers.

4. Mass Flow Meter FC-1

Connected to external parameters on panel input, the mass flow meter FC-1 allows survey of gas consumption directly linked with plastic parts quality.

Main Functions

  • Display of consumption in instantaneous flow (display weight/time).
  • Display of consumption in cumulated flow (display total weight).
  • Temperature and pressure available in analogous output. Management of resetting by panel.
    Management of data storage and alarms by panel.

An injector range was developed to permit the gas injection in the mould. These elements are made in stainless steel.

Our gas injectors meet the whole gas injection applications.

Direct access permits an easy and fast cleaning of the injectors.
