SECCANT Regeneration Dryer - Safe and Low Maintenance Drying of Air and Gases

Constructional Features

  1. Konstruktion SECCANTgas intake
  2. separator removes condensed water from the incoming gases
  3. shuttle valve alternates drying/regenerating chambers in a push-pull cycle
  4. desiccating chamber with replaceable cartridges
  5. main flow non-return valves regulate the flow of gas that is to be dried Gases
  6. particle filter
  7. pressure maintaining valve
  8. regeneration flow non-return valves that regulate the flow of gas that is required for regeneration
  9. pressure reduction valve lowers the pressure to the regeneration and control pressure
  10. flow control valve restricts the regeneration volume
  11. pressure compensation valve equalises pressure amongst the two chambers before a switch over
  12. cut-off valve closes at equal pressure and during idle running
  13. condensate drain
  14. activated carbon filter for air purification according to DIN EN 12021, EN 12021 and other international standards

Desiccating Chamber (4)
The desiccating chambers are constructed and manufactured so that they can be inspected according to national and international regulations.
Because of the excellent corrosion proofing, the containers have high durability. In addition the simple change of cartridge assures easy maintenance.

Non-Return Valve (5 / 8)
The non-return valves that are needed for the control of regeneration process are located in one unit. The built-in pressure gauges provide a quick visual check of the operating state of the SECCANT at all times. Economic use of space eliminates superfluous tubing and allows quick access and maintenance.

Pressure Compensation (11)
An additional valve is responsible for the pressure compensation prior to a change-over between the containers. This prevents sharp changes in pressure in the adsorbers and protects the molecular sieve from mechanical abrasion.

Regeneration Unit (9 / 10)
All components of the regeneration air and control air are conveniently located in the regeneration unit. The unit has been designed for easy servicing.

Cut-off Valve for Regenerated Air (12)
A pneumatically controlled valve automatically closes the air outlet when the compressor is running idle. This ensures that zero moisture from the ambient air gets into the dryer when it is switched off. This valve assembly makes the dryer suitable for intermittent operation. Continuous running is not essential.

Control
All processes, such as cycle time, pressure compensation, change-over, condensate draining, etc. are controlled by an electronic unit that has been specially developed for this dryer. The respective operating states are indicated by an LED display.
